As part of the university’s risk management program for foreign travel, the university provides coverage to faculty, staff and students traveling outside of the United States on university sponsored trips. Examples of university sponsored trips include: study abroad programs, research travel for degree programs, conferences, or other university business. Coverage for students only applies to education activities sponsored by the university. For questions on coverage or the foreign travel insurance program, please contact EHS Risk Management at 407-823-0206.
The foreign travel insurance program consists of three types of coverages: Travel Accident & Sickness, Foreign General Liability and Excess Automobile Liability (only applies to faculty and staff). However, before coverage can be effective for a university sponsored trip, all faculty, staff and students must register their travel, in accordance with UCF Policy 3-110, by clicking on the following links. Please note that the link takes you to the UCF Study Abroad website, where you will select the link for either faculty and staff or students. Coverage will NOT be effective until the trip is registered. Participants in a UCF Study Abroad program do not need to register as they are already in the system from when they registered for the UCF Study Abroad program.
